Margaritte was born into the De Graeme family and in her early childhood she was sent to France to further her education. It was during her stay in France that she befriended one of her fellow students Pauilina Valois. Once Margaritte had completed he education she returned to Scotland and married Alexander Dubois, Justicier of Sherrifmuir and had two sons. Sadly she lost her husband when he was killed during the battle of Dunbar.
Margaritte took over the responsibilities of her late husband and the role of Justicier, where she established a reputation throughout Scotland of being a skilled Judge. Both Sir Harry de Brechin and Sir Andreas of Thurso utilised her knowledge to administer justice within their respective lands. Her two sons became restless and Margaritte confided in Sir Harry of her fears for them and he suggested sending them to France to learn from his old sword master and teacher - Charles Valois the skills of swordsmanship.
Some months later Margaritte travelled to the Valois household to see her sons as well as her old friend Paulina, she was accompanied on this journey by Sir Harry for her protection and as he also had business in France to attend to. Upon her return to Scotland Margaritte was visited by Tristan Moir, whim she knew through dealing with his father Sir Aiden de Culter. Tristan was not alone and he requested of Margaritte that she attend to his companion's wounds - Henry Fennes. It was whilst nursing Henry that they became very close and after his wounds had healed he promised to return to her once he had dealt with the people who had done this to him.
As the troubles between Scotland and England heightened Margaritte did not feel safe and sought refuge, on invite from Sir Harry, with Paulina Valois in Kildrummy castle. Some years later Margaritte returned to Sherrifmuir and within a few months Henry Fennes kept his promise and returned, they married and Henry stepped into the role of Justicier, they travelled all over Europe resolving disputes and spreading their knowledge of law.
